Image Description

High-grade Myxoid Liposarcoma (LPS): This was a pure high-grade myxoid LPS (previously termed round cell LPS). The tumor cells are arranged in solid sheets, cords, and trabeculae and separated by small amount of hyalinized stroma. Cases such as this are difficult to diagnose as liposarcoma on morphology alone, unless lipoblasts are present. Confirmation requires demonstration of FUS-DDIT3 fusion (most often) or EWSR1-DDIT3 fusion (rare).
