Differential Diagnosis of Angiolipoma:
Ordinary lipomas: They are usually solitary and not painful or tender. A delicate vascular network is present but not prominent and it lacks microthrombi. Some angiolipomas are relatively hypovascular and can closely resemble lipomas; however, they will still show microthrombi as well as mast cells in the stroma. (continued in the next image)
