Introduction: Myxofibrosarcoma is a malignant fibroblastic neoplasm that was previously known as myxoid malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH). It has myxoid stroma, variable degrees of pleomorphism, and curvilinear blood vessels.
Clinical Features:The clinical presentation is similar to undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma. It is usually seen in older population, between 6th and 8th decades of life with a slight male predominance. It presents as a slowly enlarging painless mass involving the pelvic or shoulder girdle. The tumor is usually located in the dermis or subcutaneous tissues and may be attached to the underlying fascia or muscles. Uncommon sites include deep soft tissues of head and neck, trunk, and hands and feet.
