Fibrosarcoma is often a diagnosis of exclusion. Other soft tissue sarcomas such as monophasic synovial sarcoma, malig. peripheral nerve sheath tumor, etc. have to be excluded first by appropriate studies. Lesions diagnosed as fibrosarcomas usually have low to intermediate grade cytology. The image shows intersecting fascicles of fibroblasts with minimal atypia.
