Image Description

Lymphomas in the lungs can be primary tumors or may represent secondary involvement. The pattern of infiltration can be peribronchial, perivascular, alveolar, interstitial, pleural, or a combination of various patterns when the tumor is secondary. The image shows a diffuse large B-cell lymphoma that presented as a large solitary mass in 55 y/o male. Diffuse sheets of large atypical lymphoid cells were punctuated by a few follicular aggregates (shown here).
