In some cases, arteries and veins may be involved. The vessel lumen may be completely filled with tumor nodules as shown here. This appearance was the reason this tumor was originally called Intravascular Bronchioloalveolar Tumor. The tumor is slow-growing but may restrict lung capacity over time. Some patients succumb to this tumor secondary to pulmonary insufficiency.
