Given such foci, the differential diagnosis of sclerosing hemangioma includes bronchioloalveolar carcinoma and papillary variant of low-grade mucoepidermoid carcinoma. The presence of heterogeneous architecture and bland cytologic features favor sclerosing hemangioma.
