Image Description

Higher magnification of the previous image showing tumor cell clusters floating in pools of mucin. Some of the cells have signet ring-cell appearance. Usually, the tumor elements consist of extremely well-differentiated tall columnar cells (goblet cell-like) growing along the alveolar septa in a lepidic pattern. On occasion, moderate to severe cytologic atypia may be seen (as in this case).
