59 y/o male who presented with a pathologic fracture of femur (note the bone spicules in the center). Granulocytic sarcoma is a solid tumor that represents an extramedullary manifestation of acute myelogenous leukemia. It may also be seen in myelodysplastic or myeloproliferative syndromes. In the case shown here, the patient had history of chronic myeloid leukemia which had entered blast crisis.
