Image Description

Angiosarcomas of the bone account for <1% of primary malignant bone tumors. The risk factors include prior radiation, Paget disease of bone, bone infarction, and skeletal hemangiomas. The usual location is appendicular skeleton. Axial skeleton is a rare site of involvement. The specimen shows several soft, hemorrhagic areas within the vertebral bodies.
