Image Description

Higher magnification of the previous image showing irregularly thickened bony trabeculae with prominent blue cement lines. Bone marrow is replaced by fibrovascular connective tissue. These histologic features are typical but not necessarily diagnostic of Paget's disease as they may be seen in response to other conditions such as metastatic carcinoma. Correlation with radiographic features is essential for the diagnosis of Paget's disease of bone.
