Image Description

The most common histologic pattern observed in telangiectatic osteosarcoma consists of blood filled cystic spaces lined by cytologically malignant cells. The other less common pattern (depicted here) consists of pleomorphic tumor cells in a hemorrhagic background without any discernible pattern. The overall prognosis of telangiectatic osteosarcoma appears to be the same as that for conventional osteosarcoma.
