Image Description

Telangiectatic osteosarcoma is a variant with distinct radiographic, gross, and microscopic features. On radiographs, it appears as a purely lytic expansile lesion with no evidence of sclerosis. Given the geographic bone destruction, it frequently presents with pathologic fractures. The gross specimens usually show an expansile mass composed of blood-filled cystic spaces separated by delicate septae. A fleshy solid component is not seen.
