Mesemchymal Chondrosarcoma : Morphology
Image Description
Microscopic Features: The undifferentiated cellular areas in mesenchymal chondrosarcoma are composed of round, oval or spindle-shaped cells with small hyperchromatic nuclei and scant cytoplasm. They are arranged in nests, solid sheets, alveolar pattern, or a pericytic pattern around blood vessels.
When such areas predominate in a case, it may be mistaken for lymphoma or Ewing sarcoma on morphology.
