Image Description

The most common location for chondromyxoid fibroma is the metaphyseal region of the long tubular bones. Proximal tibial metaphysis is the most commonly involved location. However, small bones of the foot are also frequently involved as illustrated in this case. The plain film shows an expansile, destructive lesion with scalloped margins involving the 2nd toe in this 14 y/o boy. A small spot of calcification is also present.
