Image Description

Chondroma is a benign tumor of mature hyaline cartilage. They are called enchondromas when they occur within the medullary cavity of tubular bones. One of the most common locations is the metaphyseal region of short tubular bones of hands and feet. When they arise on the surface of the bone, they are referred to as juxtacortical or periosteal chondromas. Majority of the patients are between 2nd and 4th decades of life.
