Image Description

High power view of the previous picture. Uniform, evenly spaced cells with indistinct borders create a syncytial pattern in meningothelial meningiomas. This architecture has to be distinguished from loss of lobularity or "sheeting," one of the features used in grading. A single eosinophilic globule is identified in the upper right corner. Eosinophilic globules are classically seen in secretory meningiomas but can also be present in the other histologic variants as in this case.
