Adamantinomatous Craniopharyngioma
Image Description
Anastomosing ribbons of squamous epithelium with peripheral palisading line the cystic spaces of this adamantinomatous craniopharyngioma. The tumor is intimately associated with the brain tissue (seen on the right corner of the image). Recent studies have identified activating mutations in CTNNB1 (beta-catenin) gene in majority of adamantinomatous craniopharyngiomas (Ref: Nature Genetics, 46, 161-165, 2014.)
