Low power view of one the the many nodules from another case of dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumor. Multinodularity and cortical location are important diagnostic features. The definition of DNT has been expanded to include other tumors that have in common their occurrence in the young, cortical localization and association with partial complex seizures of long standing. There are no neurologic deficits or mental retardation associated with DNT.
