Vaginal Candidiasis

This conventional pap smear shows oval budding yeast forms (1-2 μm) and pseudohyphae embedded within clusters of intermediate and superficial squamous cells. Numerous neutrophils are also present. The pseudohyphae are eosinophilic and stain unevenly.
