Lymph Node in Systemic Mastocytosis (SM): The diagnostic finding is presence of compact paracortical MC infiltrates. In some cases, the MC infiltrates are predominantly intrasinusoidal.
Additional findings include: Eosinophilic infiltrates (even eosinophilic microabscess in some cases), vascular proliferation, extramedullary hematopoiesis, and reticulin or collagen fibrosis.
