Histiocytic Sarcoma : Molecular Genetics
Image Description
Molecular Genetics of Histiocytic Sarcomas: T-cell receptor genes are in germline configuration. A small subset of cases may have IGH and/or light chain gene rearrangements, especially in cases associated with a B-cell lymphoma. No consistent cytogenetic abnormalities have been identified in histiocytic sarcoma. Rare cases show 5q-, trisomy 8, or trisomy 9. Almost 65% of cases show recurrent mutations in the BRAF oncogene.
