Mycosis Fungoides : Cellular Features
Image Description
Mycosis Fungoides - Cellular Features: The neoplastic cells of MF are small to medium-sized mature T-lymphocytes with a helper T-cell (CD4+) phenotype in most cases. The nucleus has a characteristic cerebriform shape, reminiscent of the convoluted surface of the cerebrum. This is due to marked infoldings of a thick nuclear membrane. These cerebroid cells are not limited to MF and may be seen in other lymphomas as well as some types of acute and chronic dermatitis.
