Image Description

This patient with mycosis fungoides (MF) had extensive, irregular, erythematous, indurated plaques with scaling scattered all over his body.

Some MF patients develop focal or widespread areas of poikiloderma. They present with small or large plaques on breasts, buttocks, hips, and abdomen. The plaques show atrophy, telangiectasias, and hypo- or hyperpigmentation with erythema. This condition is similar to chronic radiation dermatitis and has been referred to as poikiloderma vasculare atrophicans.
