Image Description

Introduction: T-cell/histiocyte-rich large B-cell lymphoma (THRLBCL) is a rare subtype of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma characterized by a low fraction of tumor B-cells and a cellular background rich in T-cells and histiocytes.

It is an aggressive neoplasm and shows histopathological overlap with lymphomatoid granulomatosis as well as nodular lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin lymphoma (NLPHL). Some patients have prior history of NLPHL. This has led to the suggestion that both THRLBCL and NLPHL might represent different ends of spectrum of the same disease.

The image shows scattered large atypical lymphoid cells (B-cells) in a background of abundant small lymphocytes (T-cells).
