Image Description

Stomach is the most common site of involvement in gastrointestinal lymphomas (55% to 75% of cases). Lymphomas make up between 1% and 7% of all gastric malignancies. The most common type is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), followed by extranodal marginal zone lymphoma (MALT lymphoma). This low power scan shows a DLBCL with transmural invasion of the gastric wall. In most cases there is a single (sometimes multiple), large exophytic mass with or without ulceration.
