Plasmacytoma : Oropharynx

Diagnostic criteria for Solitary Plasmacytoma (Bone or Extramedullary):

• Solitary lytic bone lesion or soft tissue mass
• Normal bilateral iliac crest bone marrow biopsies
• Normal radiologic skeletal survey
• Normal MRI of spine, pelvis, proximal femurs & humeri
• No anemia, hypercalcemia, or renal insufficiency due to myeloma
• No/low levels of urine/serum M component
• Normal levels of uninvolved polyclonal immunoglobulins

The image shows anaplastic areas within a plasmacytoma of oral cavity (same case as the previous two images).
