Image Description

Liver Involvement in Hodgkin Lymphoma: It almost always occurs in conjunction with splenic and retroperitoneal disease and B symptoms. Hepatomegaly may or may not be present. Depending upon the extent of the disease, liver function tests may or may not be abnormal.

Imaging modalities such as fludeoxyglucose - positron emission tomography (FDG-PET) can confirm liver involvement by demonstrating diffuse increased uptake or mass lesions. CT will show solid nodules without increased vascularity.

A liver biopsy can be done to confirm liver involvement. Microscopically, it should be distinguished from benign lymphoid aggregates.
