Image Description

Liver involvement is common in chronic lymphocytic leukemia. This autopsy specimen is from a patient with a known history of CLL. The small whitish-gray nodules scattered throughout the parenchyma represent leukemic infiltrates in the periportal areas. Bone marrow, lymph nodes, spleen, and kidneys also were involved in this case. Image copyright: pathorama.ch.
