SLL in Lymph Node
Image Description
Low-power view of a lymph node with CLL/SLL showing diffuse effacement of nodal architecture. The darker areas are composed of an infiltrate of mature B lymphocytes which are small, uniform, and round with condensed chromatin and scanty cytoplasm. Mitotic activity is not increased. The pale pink areas are proliferation centers composed of prolymphocytes or paraimmunoblasts which are more active mitotically, have more abundant cytoplasm, dispersed nuclear chromatin, and conspicuous nucleoli.
