Introduction: Lymphoepithelial cyst (LEC) is an uncommon benign acquired true cyst, most commonly affecting the parotid gland. It presents as a painless swelling but may be associated with pain if infected. Rarely, it may cause facial paralysis. It is slightly more common in males and average age at diagnosis is 5th decade. The origin of this lesion is not yet well understood and it is thought to arise from the branchial apparatus or salivary ducts. This low power view of a LEC shows a well circumscribed multilocular cyst with a rim of normal salivary gland.
