Image Description

Acinic cell carcinomas display a variety of growth patterns such as solid, follicular, microcystic, and papillary cystic. Solid and microcystic patterns are the most common and are often seen together. This image shows solid pattern in the upper third and follicular pattern in the lower two-thirds. The tumor cells in this focus don't have the typical acinar appearance and resemble non-specific glandular cells. Elsewhere, small foci with more typical appearance were present.
