Bartholin Cyst
Image Description
Bartholin cyst - the most common cyst of vulva - it is cystic dilatation of Bartholin gland or its duct. The glands are located behind labia minora and drain into postero-lateral vestibule. Blockage of the duct, perhaps secondary to infection, can lead to retained secretions and cyst formation. The low-power view shows the dilated duct lined by transitional epithelium and numerous mucus glands in the cyst wall.
