Atypical Polypoid Adenomyoma
Image Description
It is characterized by the presence of hyperplastic, disorganized glands in a fibromuscular stroma. In some cases, the degree of hyperplasia may reach the threshold for endometrioid carcinoma, FIGO Grade I. The most commonly involved location includes lower uterine segment. The patient is usually in the reproductive age group or is peri-menopausal.
