High power view of a focus from the previous image showing a malignant gland surrounded by high-grade sarcoma. The epithelial component can be composed of endometrioid, papillary serous, clear cell, or squamous carcinoma. The stromal component may be heterologus or homologus. It is the epithelial component which has the greatest propensity to invade and metastasize.
