Squamous differentiation is quite common in endometrioid adenocarcinomas. It can the form of sheets of squamous cells (shown here), rounded intraluminal squamous morules, foci of frank squamous cell carcinoma, and sheets of cells with minimal squamous differentiation. The grading is based on the glandular component; squamous areas, which are usually solid, are not considered for grading.
