Partial Hydatidiform Mole

Partial mole makes up between 15% to 35% of all molar pregnancies. An embryo (abnormal) is usually present and the placenta contains an admixture of normal-appearing and vesicular villi. This low power image of a partial mole shows several hydropic villi with irregular, scalloped outline.
