Image Description

Ovarian steroid cell tumors are composed of diffuse sheets of large round or polygonal cells with abundant eosinophilic or microvacuolated cytoplasm. Besides sheet-like architecture, the tumor cells may also form nests, cords, pseudoglandular structures, or follicle-like arrangements. The surrounding stroma ranges from delicate fibrovascular network to thick hyalinied fibrous bands.
