Image Description

Microscopic Features of Ovarian Steroid Cell Tumor: The most common architectural pattern is diffuse sheets of large round or polygonal cells with abundant eosinophilic or microvacuolated cytoplasm. The tumor cells may also form nests, cords, pseudoglandular structures, or follicle-like arrangements. There is usually scant intervening stroma with delicate vascular network. Some cases show thick hyalinized fibrous bands.
