Sheets of tumor cells with moderate amounts of eosinophilic cytoplasm. The involved ovaries are usually not significantly enlarged. The tumor cells may be arranged in sheets (shown here), trabeculae, acini, cribriform patterns, and single (Indian) file. Lymphovascular invasion is frequently noted. Metastatic breast carcinomas to the ovary can mimic sex cord-stromal tumors, dysgerminomas, granulosa cell tumors, and carcinoid tumors.
