Image Description

The differential diagnosis of pregnancy luteoma includes Lipid Cell Tumor and Luteinized Thecoma. The image shown here bears strong resemblance to a Lipid Cell Tumor. The cells in luteomas of pregnancy may have vacuolated cytoplasm but little or no demonstrable lipid. Lipid Cell Tumors, on the other hand, have abundant intracytoplasmic lipid.
