Luteomas of pregnancy are solid, gray-brown, multinodular, multicentric tumor-like masses composed of lutein cells. They are usually discovered during cesarean section in multiparous women. They undergo spontaneous involution in the puerperium. About 25% of patients become hirsute or virilized and their female fetuses may show signs of masculinization. The image shows clusters of theca-lutein cells.
