Small cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder is morphologically identical to that seen in the lung. About 50% of cases are pure small cell carcinoma, the remainder show urothelial, squamous, or adenocarcinoma component. This case shows urothelial carcinoma-in-situ overlying the tumor.
