The epithelial component in this case is rather well-defined and consists of solid areas and anastomosing trabeculae of high-grade carcinoma. The malignant spindle cell component consists of high-grade sarcoma, NOS. Sarcomatoid urothelial carcinomas usually present as bulky tumors at advanced stages and have uniformly poor prognosis.
