Higher magnification view of the superficial nests of nested variant of urothelial carcinoma. The nuclei show only minimal enlargement and prominent nucleoli are not seen. Mitotic activity is not increased. The small size of these nests, anastomosis and confluence of some of the nests, and irregular extension into the lamina propria set them apart from ordinary von Brunn's nests.
