Metastatic Colorectal AdenoCA in Bladder

Image Description
Colorectal cancers can spread to the urinary bladder by direct extension or via metastases. The metastatic tumor may involve and spread along the urothelial surface (as shown in this image) mimicking in-situ adenocarcinoma and leading to the mistaken diagnosis of primary bladder adenocarcinoma. If the patient has history of advance stage colorectal cancer, any adenocarcinoma in the bladder with intestinal morphology should be treated as metastases until proven otherwise.
