Image Description
Malignancy in Bladder Diverticula (continued from the previous image): High-grade urothelial carcinomas arising in the bladder diverticula are associated with poor prognosis due to delayed diagnosis and advanced stage at presentation. The 5-yr survival rate for superficial lesions is 85%-90%, whereas it ranges from 30%-60% in patients with extradiverticular extension.
The image shows a non-invasive low-grade papillary urothelial carcinoma arising in a bladder diverticulum.
