Image Description

Radical orchiectomy specimen from a young male who presented with pain and swelling in one of his testicles not responding to antibiotic therapy. The architecture of the epididymis is completely destroyed and replaced by an expanded zone of fibrinopurulent exudate and fibrosis. The testis proper appears grossly unremarkable, although on histologic examination, there were scattered microbascesses.
