Image Description

The tunica albuginea is thickened and shows variably sized tubules and dilated cystic spaces embedded in stroma. The tubules/cystic spaces are lined by flattened, cuboidal, or ciliated columnar epithelium. There is no appreciable cytologic atypia or mitotic activity. The stroma is focally dense, especially around the glands/cystic spaces and resembles ovarian-type stroma. Like their counterparts in female patients, these ovarian-type epithelial tumors often express estrogen and progesterone receptors.
