Image Description
Adult granulosa cell tumor of the testis shows several architectural patterns which are admixed and lack prognostic significance. The most common pattern is diffuse sheets with no organized structure.
Less common but more characteristic is the microfollicular pattern, which shows numerous rosette-like structures resembling Call-Exner bodies of the Graafian follicle. The structures contain eosinophilic debris or hyalinized basement membrane material surrounded by a circular row of granulosa cells. Several Call-Exner bodies are seen in this image.
